The Grand Staircase/ H. Novak

My godmother and I explored the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA).

Two exhibits in particular that will interest BMC students:

Amelia Van Buren with Cat/ Thomas Eakins

Amelia Van Buren with cat/ Thomas Eakins

Thomas Eakins: Photographer, through January 29, 2017

Eakins was born in Philadelphia and served as a member of the faculty of the PAFA. As a faculty member, he championed equal access for women in the fields of art and anatomy education. The exhibit displays not only his photographs but also his paintings and reliefs.
